Position Summary: Casual staff positions for YUHSG including Chaburah and Performing Arts
Teach a once-a-week informal class on Fridays (as per the school calendar) to High School seniors, in small groups. Building relationships, and attending shabbatonim
Produce and direct play for school and parent performances
Audition students to select cast and assign parts
Teach acting principles and techniques to students
Any other duty necessary to the success of a production
Oversee all performing arts clubs (choir, dance, STOMP, band)
Experience & Educational Background:
Must be a Central graduate
Must be 2 years after graduation, including the gap year in Israel
Bachelors degree or prior related experience required
Must possess the skills necessary to direct/produce all aspects of a theater production
Skills & Competencies:
Capable in Jewish Studies text skills
Ability to design and select appropriate source material
Ability to teach and guide small groups
Appropriate representative of school values
Experience working collaboratively with diverse populations, which may include instructors, staff, students, and/or community members and parents
Must demonstrate proficiency in communication; excellent written, verbal and oral skills
