Instructor or Assistant Professor – Nutrition and Dietetics, Department of Applied Health Sciences, School of Nursing and Health Professions, Murray State University, Murray, KY. Full-time, nine-month, tenure track position to begin January 2020 or August 2020.
Teach courses within the Nutrition and Dietetics program and demonstrate commitment to high quality classroom and clinical instruction, campus and community service, and assisting with graduate research. Additional responsibilities include advising, recruiting, supervising interns, grant proposal writing, and engaging in service at the departmental, collegiate, university, community, and professional levels. Candidates will be expected to develop an independent and collaborative plan for engaging in research, creative, and scholarly activity. Successful candidate will be involved with the Dietetic Internship with the possibility of transitioning to the DI Director.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field and a minimum of five years clinical and/or teaching experience is required. Successful candidate must be accepted to a doctorate program within two years of hire and ABD within five years of hire.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Applicant must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration at the time that application is submitted [or have reciprocated credentials from Canada]. Successful applicant must have attained state licensure (LD) via the Kentucky Board of Licensure by appointment date.
