Right now, our construction team is looking for a Manager of Design and Construction. This individual will help support a project with our Marina Del Rey hospital as well.
What will I be doing in this role?
The Manager of Design & Construction is responsible for reporting project progress to the Director of Construction and Design.
* Assists with the identification, cataloging and maintenance of all blueprints and project documentation. * Provide supervision support for construction progress and contractors. * Provide design assistance in support of the construction supervision staff. * Facilitates project feasibility analysis, architectural designs and project budgeting. * Develop and Prepares documentation which is organized, accurate and clear (e.g. request for proposals, change orders, field authorizations, purchase orders and similar documents essential to completing projects). * Fiscal management skills to prepare, monitor and control budgets, reduce expenses and generate increased revenues. * Facilitates the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors and vendors. * Reviews the construction progress reports and advises the Director of Construction and Design of deviations from approved construction plans. * Coordinates technical matters among the construction staff and vendors, reviews their comments and make recommendations to resolve issues. * Arranges for the preparation and submission of contract deliverables involving construction issues. * Develop the appropriate Interim Life Safety and Infection Control Measures. Oversees the monitoring of renovation and remodel projects for compliance. * Proven ability to lead and manage people including selecting, developing, motivating and retaining people to meet unit objections.
