Under the supervision of the Managing Assistant Director and/or the Director of the Office of Student Accounting, the Professional Services Specialist independently performs professional responsibilities using established policies, procedures and guidelines and ensures strict adherence to the FERPA policy regarding student’s privacy rights; is responsible for the oversight of department areas including, but not limited to: Kean ID cards, parking, customer service and general office functions; and does related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices, including design and implementation of policy and procedures, vendor service contracts and improving and updating management practices is required. Preferred qualifications include experience maintaining systems, preferably financial systems, collections, accounting and parking management. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis. A Master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
The selected candidate will be required to pass a four (4) month Working Test Period to become eligible for a regular appointment.
