This Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
Helping to grow our busy International Center by working with Case Coordinators and our medical staff to review intake inquires for international patient referrals, coordinate patient access, and help inform and update clinical communications to Embassies.
Screening international referrals and working with subspecialty teams to determine eligibility for acceptance to Boston Children's Hospital.
Helping to identify which outpatient appointments will be required for accepted international patients prior to arrival.
Working with our international medical team to coordinate care for international patients in both pre-arrival and post-arrival, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Participating in Clinical Arrivals Clinic for new international patients.
Participating in International Medical Service inpatient rounds for international inpatients.
Assessing and triaging international outpatients who may need urgent evaluation in primary care or the Emergency Department.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelors in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of 5 years of pediatric nursing experience required.
Experience managing pediatric complex care, and/or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
Strong leadership skills, and written and communication skills required.
This position is per diem. 8 or 10 hour shifts.
