Rowan University is classified as an R2 (high research activity) Carnegie class institution, one of just 139 colleges and universities out of more than 4,300 across the nation to hold that distinction. The main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical degree granting programs. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts seven colleges – William G. Rohrer College of Business, Henry M. The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of three academic departments within the Rohrer College of Business, which is AACSB accredited. The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance, a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Accounting, and MBA specializations in Accounting and Finance, and a Master of Science in Finance.
The Accounting and Finance Department is searching for adjunct instructors in accounting for the academic year 2019-2020. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in accounting in a traditional classroom format or online. Prior teaching or professional training experience is strongly preferred, with evidence of quality instruction.
Requirements include a Masters in accounting, taxation, finance or business. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA) is preferred. Daytime availability is a plus.
