Sponsored Programs is part of the Office of Research , a group dedicated to aiding the research community in navigating the life cycle of their work, from finding funding to creating proposals to helping inventions find their way to the public.
This position is responsible for the initiation, review, and negotiation of Industry funded Sponsored Research Agreements. Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, and other forms of research related agreements. This position will work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders including the Office of the General Counsel, Vice President for Research and Office of Technology Development in addition to our faculty and a vast range of industry sponsors to ensure timely processing of contracts and agreements. This role will contribute to developing and implementing streamlined processes and communications to be responsive to an active and growing line of business. This position reports to the Director of Industry Contracting.
BA/BS and a minimum of 3 years of prior related contractual or Research Administration experience for the Contract Associate level, at least 5 years for the Senior Contract Associate.
Strong communication and analytical skills (verbal and written) as well as subject matter expertise are critical in this role.
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or JD preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and bend to lift items. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, catering and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
