CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out tasks related to program implementation at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Scott Skodnek Business Development Center, including, but not limited to: â€¢Implement and manage various aspects of programs at both Centers, including the Entrepreneurial Assistance Center (EAC), the Certification Assistance Program, the Healthcare Entrepreneurship Community Challenge, the Ascend Long Island program, the Hofstra-Digital Remedy Venture Challenge and Bootcamp, Operation Downtown, BDC workshops, and the ideaHUb incubator and Maker Space, focusing on event coordination and integrating promotion, marketing, and project management of all programs. â€¢Participate in contracts management and processing for grants and contracts associated with the ideaHUB incubator. â€¢Coordinate workshops associated with an internship program for Hofstra students working with the businesses in the ideaHUb incubator and businesses participating in the EAC program. â€¢Originate and contribute to written materials, including reports, grants, strategic plans, etc. â€¢Plan, implement, and promote events related to the programs at both Centers, including logistics such as event registration and set-up, recruiting instructors, and managing mentor sessions. â€¢Develop presentations to market the work of the Center/BDC. â€¢Work with consultants on various grant-funded projects on program implementation to ensure program goals are achieved. â€¢Supervise the work of all student assistants, developing and monitoring their projects. â€¢Interact with other departments at Hofstra to ensure collaboration and administrative needs are met. â€¢Support and participate in new program implementation and development.
