The Department of Management at Michigan State University is seeking to add a fixed-term faculty member beginning in January 2019.
All ranks should hold a relevant area of scholarship, have the ability to teach a diverse student population, be able to demonstrate exceptional ability or potential as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations, and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation and/or extensive experience in the area of management. Teaching responsibilities will involve a variety of classes ranging from micro topics (e.g., Human Resources and Organizational Behavior) to macro topics (e.g., strategic management and entrepreneurship). Teaching may include a mix of both undergraduate and/or graduate students. It is an academic year appointment with a 4-4 teaching load. This is a one-year appointment subject to annual renewal. Salary is negotiable. Additional summer teaching opportunities are also possible with additional compensation.
Doctorate -Management, Strategy, OB, HR
For the assistant instructor or instructor rank a master’s degree is required. For the Assistant Professor rank a Ph.D. is required.
