1) Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students, providing a high-quality, positive, and personalized experience for an assigned territory of potential students.
2) The Assistant Director builds relationships with prospective students, supporting and guiding their decision to apply to a program at the University of Chicago, and helping them navigate the application and admissions process.
3) In addition to managing daily outreach and communication with prospective students, the Assistant Director will participate in the development of detailed quarterly and annual recruitment plans, provide regular status reporting, and be responsible for the achievement of strategic enrollment goals.
4) Responsible for achieving strategic and targeted goals from application through deposit including metrics based on lead conversion, application volume, and yield.
5) Generate new student enrollments by advising prospective students on how academic program.
6) Assume primary responsibility for responding to all incoming inquiries, managing recruitment relationships with assigned prospective students, and seeking opportunities to enhance and personalize the prospective student experience.
7) Execute proactive communication plans designed to engage with prospective students throughout the admissions journey using multi-channel communication including but not limited to phone, email, and in-person opportunities.
8) Record interactions with prospective students in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner in the relationship management database.
9) Contribute to a more robust understanding of the prospective student market and current best practices by monitoring how prospective students are hearing about the University of Chicago, assessing the corresponding quality of prospective students from different sources, and benchmarking against peer institutions.
10) Develop recruitment event calendar and collaborate with program staff and UChicago Grad to seek opportunities for prospective student engagement.
11) Maintain the highest level of program-specific knowledge and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
12) Admissions: manage the admissions and enrollment process, ensuring operational efficiency and positively influencing each recruitment cycles quantity and quality of completed applications.
13) Coordinate the inflow of applications and ensure all required application documentation is secured within established deadlines.
14) Resolve prospective student inquiries throughout the application submission cycle, troubleshooting application system and submission issues as necessary and acting as a liaison between program staff and prospective students.
15) Provide support for student matriculation, participating in yield initiatives and student onboarding as directed.
16) Ensure compliance-related document inquiries are met for admitted international students in collaboration with the Office of International Affairs and serve as enrollment management staff contact for student inquiries related to visa application timeline and process.
17) Administration: responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative processes necessary to support a high-quality prospective student experience.
