The Senior Administrative Coordinator will perform a variety of duties to support staff in the Offices for Research & Sponsored Projects (ORSP) and Grant Evaluation and Statistical Support (OGESS), who promote faculty and staff productivity through services that include all facets of research, grant administration, and statistical support, including residential fellowships, research, instructional activities, partnerships, contracts, and service programs. Reporting to the Executive Director for Research, this position is an integral member of the ORSP/OGESS team and will assist in the day-to-day functioning and other specialized duties for the area.
Typically a Bachelor's degree in any academic field. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of advances in grants database systems and electronic research administration, federal policies and regulations, and philanthropic trends.
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience, preferably in a professional office or university setting, with experience in progressively responsible positions.
Proficiency in the use of common office computing software, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and WebEx is required. Familiarity with pre-award file management and data management systems and practices, or other relational databases, is also preferred.
