The Sports Program Associate (SPA) have responsibilities assigned specifically to Olympic sports. The SPA will provide comprehensive strength and conditioning training programs for specified teams. The SPA will instruct student athletes on the importance of proper technique in the strength and conditioning areas of their sport. This position is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of Athletic Training. These positions work in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. May work nights and weekends based on the schedule of OSU athletic events.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; A minimum of one year experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting; Experience with Olympic-style lifting, plyometric training and speed development; Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to teach/motivate a diverse population of student-athletes, interact with support staff and coaches; Candidate must have successfully completed the NSCA – CSCS certification examination and/or CSCCa – SCCC certification examination; current CPR and first aid certificate.
Target Salary: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 Annually
