Develop hypotheses, conduct experiments and research activities in support of assigned research project, ensuring consistency with established methodological approaches and models, adherence to project timelines, and completeness of documentation; Assist in writing articles for peer-reviewed journals that highlight findings from research and experimental activities ensuring consistency with the highest standards of academic publication; Communicate to Principal Investigator/Supervisor about progress and results of research activities and relevant related information in a timely manner; Knowledge and practical experience in echocardiography and in vitro cardiomyocytes isolation and analyses using IonOptix is required. Among molecular biology techniques, DNA, RNA & protein isolation, southern blotting, q-PCR, western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence are highly desirable; Strong communication skills and ability to work with other research staff; Ability to understand and incorporate new techniques and methodologies into the laboratory.
-Bachelor’s degree in appropriate biological/health science field, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
-Strong publication records and experience working with mice; -Experience in using basic statistics programs and Microsoft; -Previous experience or education background in cardiovascular sciences; -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
