Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Applied Math. One (1) year full time experience directly related to the project/program. Experience in a laboratory environment.
Experience with detector modeling, detector characterization and instrumentation, computational electronics, physics of positron emission tomography (PET) detectors, GEANT4 and MATLAB/PYTHON/C/C++ programming
Brief Description of Duties:
The Research Technician will work under general supervision, the incumbent will perform a variety of routine and/or semi-skilled tasks related to modeling positron emission tomography (PET) detectors and systems. The successful incumbent should have excellent communication skills.
Assist with modeling positron emission tomography (PET) detectors and systems using GEANT4 Monte Carlo tools. Care and maintenance of apparatus and equipment.
Assist with measurements and characterization of PET detectors and systems. Observe and record data using gauges, graphs or other measurement techniques and devices.
