The Digital Communications Coordinator will perform a wide array of digital communications functions while seeking out the latest trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing that can be applied to current and future communications initiatives and processes:
Website Management: Update, maintain, and continually improve the content on hms.harvard.edu/giving and alumni.hms.harvard.edu in support of the School's alumni engagement and advancement goals. Specific responsibilities include uploading and editing content in the content management system (CMS), creating pages in the CMS, creating visual assets using Photoshop, InDesign, and third-party applications such as WAVE and SmugMug, and identifying and reporting on out of date content and broken links. Perform quality assurance by reviewing content uploaded by other web editors to ensure all pages are consistent with brand guidelines and in line with digital best practices. Provide basic CMS training and troubleshooting to other AAD website content contributors. Help test new web features and improvements. Request and track vanity urls as needed. Experience with Drupal 8 and Dreamweaver and familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.
Email Communications: Provide project management for select email campaigns. This includes content development, creation of production schedules, writing, photography, set-up, design, approvals, and performance monitoring. Utilize Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to create banners, buttons, and additional graphics for email campaigns as needed. Update the University-wide email calendar. Experience with Salesforce and Dreamweaver, as well as familiarity with HTML and CSS, preferred.
Reporting and Analytics: Use Google Analytics to understand web traffic and user behavior to optimize web pages. Run email analytics reports in Salesforce, noting trends and making recommendations for future email strategies. Provide regular updates to the Development Communications team and other relevant stakeholders.
Online Giving Forms: Assist in launching new online giving forms, implement updates to existing forms, append appeal codes to forms, and create UTM tracking links for all appeals.
Surveys: Create digital RSVPs for events and online surveys/web forms.
Assist the Development Communications team with additional publication and production needs that arise.

Five or more years of related experience; education beyond high school may count toward experience.
