Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Data Analytics, Science, or related field. Two (2) years of full-time experience performing analytical and data-related work in a clinical or research environment or as a Biostatistician. Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel. Prior experience using Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience with complex data sets.
PhD or foreign equivalent. Related analytical certifications. Experience with SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R. Experience with Qualtrics, RedCap or another electronic data-collection platform. Familiarity with the WTC Health Program policies and procedures.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Data Manager collaborates with Informatics, Research, QA, and Claims to ensure successful data delivery. Reviews data and reports for trends, common themes, and opportunities for improvement. When appropriate, uses statistical analysis. Reports results to appropriate management and committees. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential. The candidate must be detail oriented, and have strong analytical and organizational skills.
Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Ensuring quality results by adhering to established standards and procedures+
Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators
Data Analysis and Reporting
Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
Develop reports, dashboards and analysis for operational, administrative, and accounting departments
Collaborating with other data management team members in the planning and implementation of data quality assurance plans
Maintaining competency for Reporting
Maintaining proficiency with respect to statistical programming and methodology and in applying new and varied methods
Selecting statistical methods for data analysis, and conducting analysis
Effectively utilizing current technologies and available tools for conducting analyses
Managing Data Requests
Develops formats and presents reports and graphic presentations of data and supports department managers
Extract data in support of various reporting processes from different systems
Performing other ad hoc data management activities and reports
Other duties as assigned
