Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Compliance Administrator (CA) for Rutgers Athletics Compliance Office. This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Chief Compliance Officer. The CA supervises all aspects associated with Bylaw(s) 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 20 for a subset of sports and liaison groups.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
In the absence of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Chief Compliance Officer, the CA is expected to articulate and interpret complex issues for internal and external constituents.
Creates and executes policies and procedures for enhanced institutional control consistent with NCAA and conference governance reform.
Manages a comprehensive rules compliance program for internal and external constituents.
Executes specified Big Ten Conference reporting/exceptions and NCAA waivers.
Investigates and reports NCAA infractions.
Provides game day support for various sporting events as well as completing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years relevant full-time experience required, preferred Division I campus experience, Division I Conference Office, or the NCAA.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent working knowledge of NCAA Division I rules
Sound working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and LSDBi necessary
Master's or Law degree
Working knowledge of JumpForward
Prior Division I campus, Division I Conference Office, or the NCAA experience strongly preferred.
The position requires a computer to include all Microsoft software, access to the NCAA Applications, JumpForward and other presentation software
In addition, the position requires the use of a cellular telephone
