Bachelor's degree in business, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field. Master's degree preferred. Three (3) years progressively responsible technical and professional related experience. Certifications may be required. Experience in Higher Education and specialized work is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs highly advanced, inventory and asset management duties to include related planning, budget and procurement for a campus technology warehouse operation.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Accountable for a campus technology warehouse operations, including stocking and issuing technology equipment, parts and consumable supplies. Develops inventory control program guidelines and policies that ensure an efficient warehouse operation. Prepares stock and asset management control records, monitors and reconciles technology inventories and related reporting, resolves discrepancies and implements corrective action as necessary. Monitors the receipt of technology inventory shipments to include the loading and unloading of stock. Facilitates the disposal of surplus property and stock rotation. Determines and monitors efficient stock levels, rotation patterns, initiates purchase requests for inventory replenishment and maintains purchase records and related reporting. Consults with vendors to secure competitive pricing for technology related purchases. Provides assistance to campus technology users in determining technology specifications to suit specific business needs and provides quotes when needed. Conducts annual asset inventory audit in conjunction with university procedures and policies. Reviews asset management procedures, polices, and controls and recommends improvements. Prepare and monitor related budgets as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
