The Financial Wellness Program Director will serve as the University's primary point of contact for Financial Wellness programs.
This new position will develop a comprehensive university-wide system that ultimately creates and implements a nationally recognized Financial Wellness Program. A key component of this position will be identifying existing financial wellness initiatives, collaborating with student service focused departments, and establishing a partnership network across all campuses. The Program Director will engage university partners, especially Student Affairs, to educate, support, and train students through a full range of financial wellness programs across comprehensive platforms and university-wide programming. This position will support and encourage the creation of innovative programs and services utilizing best practices to facilitate the ongoing development of healthy lifestyles. This position provides consultative support and expertise across all campuses and manages all aspects of the program process from design to implementation.
This person will be responsible for establishing a staff training program for financial aid staff at a minimum to expand a structured financial wellness education methodology. As part of the Financial Aid unit of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, this position will report to the Executive Director of Financial Aid or designee.
Bachelor's Degree is required, but a Master's Degree in higher education administration, student personnel, Finance or related field is preferred. A minimum of five years' experience working in a financial wellness center, financial aid office, or student personnel position. Significant experience developing and presenting financial literacy programs and workshops, showing evidence of comprehensive knowledge in ensuring programs are effectively administered at all points of the awarding process. Documented experience working with business process planning, creation, execution, and improvement through methods such as fit/gap analyses.
Must have experience working in a complex university or college environment, preferably supervisory experience at a large college or university. Must have the ability to develop and implement internal training procedures and train staff members. Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing large volumes of detailed work, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities. Employee must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
