This role is a newly created position here at Boston Children's. The successful candidate will have a vision for driving accounts payable and payroll to be as automated as possible and will seek to eliminate manual interventions throughout the process. Driving change while focusing on team building within the Finance Department and across the organization with a focus on partnering with our Supply Chain team.
This Director of Disbursement will be responsible for:
Establishing the overall strategy for Payroll and Accounts Payable in order to support Finance in becoming a best-in-class organization and delivering positive experiences for internal/external customers and patients.
Serving as the primary enterprise representative overseeing all Payroll and Accounts Payable processes and collaborates with Finance and enterprise leaders to support enterprise goals.
Establishing the annual goals and priorities for Payroll and Accounts Payable to support the enterprise business strategy.
Defining and implementing the Payroll and Accounts Payable technology roadmap that enables "single touch / no touch" customer transactions.
Identifying, monitoring and reporting key metrics on P2P and Payroll processing to identify and execute improvement opportunities that drive increased effectiveness.
Ensuring the appropriate controls are in place and support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
Overseeing submission and timely processing of all disbursement requests.
Continuously assessing new solutions in the marketplace to enhance our disbursement processes and cycles.
Leveraging strategic technologies and automation to improve efficiency in matching information and clearing mismatches.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.
Eight (8) years in Finance organizations, preferably within the healthcare industry and three (3) years managing Accounts Payable and/or Payroll organizations.
Strong understanding of all Finance functions and domains.
Comprehensive knowledge of Payroll and Accounts Payable processes and policies.
Strong knowledge of emerging technologies related to Payroll and Accounts Payable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
