The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Integrative Brain Function. The Research Assistant will perform neurobiological experiments in fruit flies, including neural circuit tracing in electron microscopic data sets of fly brains, molecular cloning and plasmid creation, and immunohistochemistry. Additional experiments in single-cell RNA sequencing might also be performed.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in biology, chemistry, or physics preferred. Must have previous experience in molecular biology and immunohistochemical methods, and the ability to learn new techniques quickly. Must have careful attention to experimental detail.
