Tufts University School of Dental Medicine seeks applicants for the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; the position is available September 1, 2019. The Associate Dean provides leadership and management in all aspects of the School's curricula (DMD and Advanced Graduate). This individual leads efforts on an ongoing basis to review and assess the school’s curricula (including the accreditation process) and works with the faculty to develop, sustain and enhance programs that keep pace with the changes in dental education and oral health care.

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine sees approximately 43,000 clinical patients per year in over 175,000 visits. The Dental School has over 950 students and a faculty/staff population of over 550 full and part time employees.
Located in the heart of Tufts Health Sciences campus in downtown Boston, the school shares resources and research breakthroughs with Tufts University School of Medicine, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, the Dorothy J. and Gerald R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.
The ideal candidate will possess a DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school. An advanced degree is highly desirable. The candidate must have experience in dental education at the institutional level, preferably working in the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of an educational program leading to the dental degree.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
