The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Pediatric Epileptologist with expertise in epilepsy surgery to grow our Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Program. We are a Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center with ABRET Long Term Monitoring (LAB-LTM) five year accreditation for our Epilepsy Monitoring Program including Intracranial Monitoring. We have a busy 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit and a growing surgical program supported by 5 Epileptologist and two Pediatric Epilepsy Neurosurgeons.
Experience with pre-surgical evaluations, invasive video EEG monitoring including stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG), and functional mapping is required. The position includes an academic appointment up to Professor on the non-tenure-eligible clinician-educator track in the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications. Applicants can expect an opportunity for a well-balanced career in teaching, research and clinical service in Pediatric Epilepsy that includes outpatient clinics, coverage of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and inpatient service.
The individual must be an MD and be board certified or board eligible in Neurology, with special qualifications in Pediatric Neurology in addition to Clinical Neurophysiology or Epilepsy training. The candidate must also be licensed in the State of Illinois to practice without restriction. Proposed starting date is flexible. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
