The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to teach in an online Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate program as well as other graduate nursing courses.
The position includes teaching responsibilities in the classroom, simulation, and clinical setting as well as commitment to maintain practice, service, and scholarship responsibilities.
This is an 9-month academic-year teaching position, with teaching opportunities during the summer.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in Michigan (or eligible).
Current national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
One year continuous full-time, or its equivalent, experience providing direct patient care as a PMHNP within the last five years.
Doctorate in nursing or related field (enrollment in doctoral program at the point of dissertation will be considered for assistant rank) with evidence of scholarly activity. Extensive university experience is required for associate rank. If Doctorate is in a related field, Masters in nursing is required.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Experience with face-to-face and online teaching in a graduate nursing program.
