Job Description Summary:
Manager, Operations (Center for Performing Arts) is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Center of Performing Arts (CPA) through oversight of back operations, information technology, maintenance, restoration projects, budgeting, and general operations and ensuring the readiness and smooth operation of the venue during performances. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing employee work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; budgeting and planning, resolving rental user and patron complaints.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in arts, communications, Fine or Performing Arts, planning or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in stage management and/or venue management preferably in a performing arts, theatre, or opera house and a minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.
Certification in event planning preferred.
Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule – Must have weekend, holiday and some early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
The work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
