Oversee the College's national and local recruitment efforts of highly qualified undergraduates.
Under direction of the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in the Cullen College of Engineering, and in collaboration with the College's Department Chairs and Academic Program Directors, will develop and implement a strategic plan targeting highly qualified students for our various graduate programs.
Develop graduate student recruitment materials (print, web, multi-media), while working closely with other campus offices, including but not limited to external and media relations, admissions, financial aid, student affairs and other departments engaged in the recruitment and retention of students.
Assist with individual graduate programs with development of effective recruiting plans that fits individual program characteristics and resources.
Develop and maintain relationships with enrollment management partners in the state and nation in order to stay current with state-of-the-art technology and market principles and trends as they pertain to higher education.
Develop graduate recruiting pipelines and partnerships with domestic and international colleges and universities.Providing guidance with the CCE departments to ensure success in first term and beyond.
Use analytic to evaluate recruiting effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments in recruiting activities.
Implement ongoing recruitment projects such as college tours,PhD weekend, mail-outs, and telephone campaigns.
Provide guidance and direction to graduate student advisors. Serves as a liaison to the UH Graduate School.
Assures that an effective customer service orientation characterizes the relationship between the College and prospective students.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly related job experience.
