1.Serve as primary editor for the North Central College graduate catalog. Coordinate the process by which academic departments can submit catalog changes, facilitate proofreading, and produce the adjusted copy in the Acalog system for online publication. Assist with editing the North Central College undergraduate catalog as needed. 2.Update and maintain the graduate degree audit coding, including the creation, revision, and deletion of graduate courses in Colleague. Assist with undergraduate degree audit coding as needed. 3.Perform degree audits for graduate students who submit an application for graduation. Provide timely feedback regarding progress to degree and any remaining deficiencies, and meet with students as needed. 4.Attend Academic Programs and Policies Committee and College Graduate Studies Council meetings. Serve on committees, as needed, for such purposes as information exchange, coordination of activities, and development of plans, particularly as they relate to graduate and professional studies. Interact with other academic and administrative offices, including Admissions, the Assistant Provost for Student Success and Dean of Academic Services, Graduate and Professional Studies and the Deans, to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and advocate for policies that promote the academic development of students. 5.Oversee the evaluation of all transfer credit, including the production, maintenance, and revision of all community college articulation agreements and the Transfer Evaluation System (TES). 6.Evaluate transcripts from international colleges and universities, including study abroad pre and post course approval. 7.Assist with normal business operations such as registration, general petitions, waitlist maintenance, and general policy questions, etc. on an as-needed basis. 8.Participate in the development and implementation of systems and procedures, which contribute to efficient and effective operations both within the Office of the Registrar and across the campus. 9.Perform related duties and tasks that contribute to the effective operation of the Office of the Registrar and the College in general. 10.Serve as a back-up for NCAA Eligibility reporting.
A bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in higher education administration or related field is preferred.
Experience with Ellucian Colleague highly preferred (or comparable Student Information System—e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.) as is the ability to efficiently use computer-based systems, particularly word-processing and databases.
The Assistant Registrar oversees all aspects of the graduate catalog and maintains course information in Ellucian Colleague. Serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the Registrar for graduate and professional students and programs. Oversees the transfer evaluation process for all students, providing guidance to the Transcript Evaluator.
