The Rutgers University, School of Nursing invites applications for a nursing psychiatric-mental health faculty position teaching didactic courses and clinical practica and advising students across campuses. The candidate will educate and mentor students in psychiatric-mental health program. Faculty are expected to advise students, work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines, maintain clinical practice competence, remain active involvement in professional organizations, maintain scholarship in their field, and actively seek opportunities for and participates in School of Nursing faculty governance. DNP project support and supervision; intellectual contributions leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals; and service are required. The position is primarily in the graduate program but the candidate may teach across programs.
Minimum Education and Experience:
o Doctoral degree preferred, but will consider well-qualified applicants near completion of a doctoral program. o Current licensure or eligibility for RN and Advanced Practice Nursing licensure in New Jersey. o National certification and current clinical experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. o Minimum of 5 years of experience as an APN. o Teaching background preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in military issues and treatment, substance use disorders, psychological trauma and treatment and who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations, grant funding) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations.
