Chemeketa Community College welcomes applications for a part-time Anesthesia Instructor.
Position reports directly to the Dean of Health Sciences and works closely with the anesthesia technology program chair. The instructor must be able to teach Anesthesia Technology program and work closely with industry and the program's Advisory Committee. Other professional responsibilities include: curriculum development, activities related to state and national accreditation, maintaining office hours at times convenient to students, serving as an ad-hoc member of the program's Advisory Committee, serving on departmental and college committees, participating in professional development activities, and other related duties as may be assigned by the Dean of Health Sciences.

Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 29,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. The successful candidate will have:
ASATT Anesthesia Certification (or ability to complete/obtain within six months of hire) -AND- Three years of full-time experience as an Anesthesia Technologist
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
Demonstrated interest and ability to work successfully with students, staff, and the community
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Demonstrated attention to detail required as well as previous experience maintaining accurate records, managing multiple tasks, and planning/organizing work in order to meet changing priorities and deadlines
Bachelor's degree or higher in Anesthesia Technology
Previous teaching experience and/or proven background in educational methodology
