Position Summary: The incumbent plays an ongoing key role in the development and maintenance of hospital billing databases which enhance automation and provide key performance indicators for leadership to make operational decisions.
Rate Minimum $73,000.00 Maximum $131,500.00
Required Qualifications: Ability to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to identify process improvement opportunities and develop and recommend new processes as neededAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to read and understand intent of regulatory documents to be able to assess impact on current operational processesAbility to think critically and problem solve independently and/or collaboratively as the situation dictatesAbility to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical viewsAbility to work independently and take initiative to identify priorities and manage workload accordinglyAdvanced knowledge of database design, information modeling, and SQLBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCertification in an EPIC data model: Revenue Data Model, Clinical Data Model and/or Access Data ModelDemonstrated experience in database management, including developing and maintaining database software, providing data entry, and generating reportsDetailed knowledge of registration, billing and collections processes and data requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience with Transact SQL scripts and relational and multidimensional database designsMinimum 2 years working in SQL programming in a healthcare or financial setting, with demonstrated experience using analytics effectively to transform data to informationMinimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft SQL ServerMinimum 2 years' experience working in a hospital based environment utilizing an automated Patient Accounting systemMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesStrong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key information clearly and conciselyStrong knowledge of healthcare automated systems utilized in a Business Office environment
