Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Essex Children’s Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (CMRSS) Program. In collaboration with the Essex CMRSS Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team. The Program Coordinator demonstrates competency in care coordination/case management and assessing the unique needs of children (0-12 years), adolescents (13-17 years) and young adults (18-21 years).
Responsible for providing supervision to Senior Habilitation and Habilitation Counselors.
Monitors staff performance and addresses any issues or concerns.
Monitors the day-to-day coordination and delivery of direct service program operations.
Prepares and maintains oversight of clinical records for audits.
Assists the Program Manager in ensuring compliance with all regulatory, fiscal and documentation requirements.
Assists in establishing a continuum of crisis stabilization providers in Essex County.
Completes and maintains all client records within prescribed time frame.
Participates in external meetings and UBHC-wide meetings, committees, and task forces as assigned.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events.
Meets all annual requirements and understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a behavioral health field and four (4) years related experience.
All clinical licensing as required by discipline.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Must obtain an active Division of Children’s System of Care (DCSOC) Crisis Assessment Tool (CAT) certification within six (6) months of employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective problem solving skills and organizational skills.
Must be PC literate.
Must be available for on-call.
Must have a valid driver's license.
