The UC San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography Marine Physical Laboratory (MPL) is seeking a new Applications Programmer 3. The incumbent shall apply skills as a seasoned, experienced software professional with a full understanding of industry practices, community standards and relevant policies and procedures to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects with moderate scope and complexity. Additionally, the incumbent shall resolve a wide range of issues and demonstrate competency in selecting tools, methods and techniques to obtain results.
The incumbent in this position will work with scientists and engineers to develop a visualization, simulation, and game environment for observing how sound propagates in the ocean.
