The Executive Recruiter will be responsible for executing full life cycle recruitment for key positions at Stony Brook Medicine. In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Executive Recruiter will have full ownership of search execution including sourcing, assessing and recruiting top talent to Stony Brook Medicine. Specifically, you will be responsible for hiring manager engagement and relationship management, search strategy and execution, candidate pipelining and offer negotiations.
Duties of the Executive Recruiter may include the following but are not limited to:
This position must possess considerable skill in creative sourcing techniques and a knowledge of all specialized leadership functions in the healthcare system.
Networks and develops strong relationships with health system leaders and be effective at persuading and influencing leaders.
Develops and implements aggressive and innovative recruitment and retention strategies for executive positions within Stony Brook Medicine.
Collaborates with the organization's executives to understand hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies.
Develops and leads successful implementation of cost effective recruitment plans, including advertising, career fairs, college recruiting, and national recruiting events.
Develops key relationships within Stony Brook Medicine, using knowledge to resolve recruitment needs and issues.
Screen applicants for competency, professionalism, and minimum/preferred requirements (licensure, criminal background checks, certifications and others as required by policy/practice), and refer qualified candidates to hiring departments for senior leadership positions.
Ensures corporate recruiting efforts are consistent and in compliance with Federal, State and EEO regulations. As well as contractual language of various collective bargaining agreements as it relates to the promotion, transfer, demotion and other staffing/recruiting related issues
Maintains effective communication with hiring managers to determine unit needs and to recruit candidates utilizing best practices
Identifies and resolves candidate's questions and concerns regarding the position.
Partner with search committee members to develop interview guides.
Experience managing third party agencies, and negotiating search agreements.
Performs other duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Minimum of five (5) years direct recruiting/sourcing experience, specifically at the director level or above.
Proven track record in setting a talent strategy for difficult to fill roles.
Experience leading behaviorally-based interview techniques; strong candidate assessment skills.
Experience with full cycle talent acquisition, including for executive level roles.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working with an HRIS or TMS.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to travel locally
Healthcare industry experience.
Prior experience recruiting for a high volume, fast paced organization.
Recruiting for Healthcare Clinical positions.
Experience with Peoplesoft and/or Taleo
