This person will work on studies of cardiovascular disease epidemiology in National Institutes of Health/NHLBI-funded cohort studies and electronic medical record and insurance claims data. Specific responsibilities will include maintaining linked databases of various types from the large, multi-thousand person population studies; developing and implementing protocols to map and link cohort data to records from several large-scale data sources (local care management organizations, Medicare and Medicaid databases); performing quality assurance and developing data dictionaries; and conducting epidemiologic analyses including standard tools such as Cox proportional hazards regression, Poisson regression, logistic regression, and weighted data analysis; and collaborating with faculty on writing abstracts, manuscripts, and other deliverables to document study findings.
