Patient Care Technician David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care
The David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care is the newest addition to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centers facilities. The Center is scheduled to open in late 2019, providing dynamic outpatient setting for leading-edge cancer treatments. The Koch Center will allow MSK to achieve greater efficiencies while enhancing the patient experience.
We are seeking skilled Patient Care Technicians to join our company of dedicated professionals. As a part of the Magnet- designated Nursing team, you will provide essential support to the nursing staff at MSK, while working to ensure comfort for our patients. Work in an Ambulatory Care Setting
Go above and beyond to assist our patients in a timely, efficient and courteous manner
Handle acutely ill patients in stressful situations with grace
Be responsible for taking patient vital signs, Phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collections
Collaborate with the clinical team, aiding with procedures where needed
Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse
Utilize basic computer and data entry skills
A High School diploma or equivalent education
Certification from an accredited Nursing Assistant or comparable training program (required)
At least 1 year of patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting (required)
Experience with phlebotomy is highly preferred
2 years of patient care, and customer service experience(preferred)
Various 10-hour shifts with weekend rotation
