Senior Office Coordinator, Hospital Operations (Department of Medicine)
The largest of Memorial Sloan Ketterings clinical departments, our Department of Medicineencompasses experts in various specialties within the Hematologic Oncology, Solid Tumor, Subspecialty Medicine, Survivorship and Supportive Care and Network Medicine Divisions. We are currently recruiting a Senior Office Coordinator in the Endocrinology Service.

Use your strong customer service and multi-tasking abilities to support a practice/service by providing administrative support to the clinical team.
Ensure patients are assisted in a timely and courteous manner by functioning as the primary contact for the practice where you are responsible for scheduling patients tests, appointments, and procedures.
Update and maintain the electronic medical records (EMR), coordinate with clinical staff, and submit information to payers for pre-certification approvals.
Participate in training and mentorship of new and existing administrative support staff.
Lead or participate in projects/work groups and provide updates to Assistant Manager and/or Manager, as needed.
A High School Diploma plus two years of relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience.
A minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role strongly preferred. Experience working with patients is a plus.
MSK Employees: At least one year in an Office Coordinator role.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Strong computer skills
Ability to handle acutely ill patients in stressful situations
