DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS , Solve. The Director of Global Partnerships reports directly to the Executive Director and will spearhead the fund-raising and partnerships strategy for Solve, designing, pitching, and closing partnerships of $100,000-$1million+; identify, develop, and manage relations with sponsors and partners in the United States and abroad, overseeing their engagement around Solve's annual innovation cycle and main annual events (Solve at MIT and Solve Challenge Finals); build systems and processes to streamline fund-raising activities across Solve; work closely with the Director of International Programs, drive Solve's expansion strategy to implement Solve programs globally; oversee the engagement of Solve advisors, MIT Corporation members, and other VIP members of the MIT community with Solve; lead relations with MIT's Resource Development, Industry Liaison Program, Alumni Association, and other teams to coordinate the engagement of their VIP stakeholders with Solve; deliver best-in class experience to sponsor delegates, Solve advisors, MIT Corporation members, and other VIPs at Solve events; manage two staff members and project-based consultants.
REQUIRED : master's or equivalent degree in business administration, marketing or business development and 2 years of experience in partnership, business development or fundraising on behalf of international social impact or non-profit organizations required; or a bachelor's or equivalent degree in business administration, marketing or business development and 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in partnership, business development or fundraising on behalf of international social impact or non-profit organizations. Experience must also include: building relations with world-class international and domestic corporate, foundation, government, multi-lateral, and high-net worth individuals as donors and sponsors; designing, successfully negotiating, closing and managing sponsor packages of $100,000-$1million+; relevant contacts in corporations, foundations, multi-lateral organizations, and governments that can be utilized immediately; working in a complex multi-layered environment with multiple stakeholders; executing large-scale (500+ person) international events.
