This term-limited SDA position is in the Research Analytics area of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Performs scenario planning, data management and/or data analysis to support the university’s research mission. Analyze funding trends, provide intelligence to leadership, and assist with the development and maintenance of applications designed for the university’s research community.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs data analysis and/or data management using statistical packages, including visualizations.
Assists in the design of scenario planning and forecasting.
Assists in data base design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including acquisition, editing and reporting.
May assist in design and development of data entry systems.
May function as a statistical consultant.
Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or Epidemiology).
Experience and proficiency with data analysis and data management utilizing statistical packages utilized by Research Analytics (i.e., R or Python).
Master’s preferred in Statistics, Computer Science or related field.
Experience with text mining and NLP highly preferred.
Experience with Cognos and/or Tableau.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated organization skills.
The hiring range for this position is $47,986 - $61,194 annually.
