The Dining Employment Specialist administers the processes for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees to fill vacancies within IU Dining. Reviews position requirements and qualifications, and using the assigned consultant model, assists in identifying the best candidate for a given position. Ensures university policies and procedures are followed in the posting, interview, and selection process.
Serves as a resource to applicants inquiring about employment with IU Dining. Consults with and advises managers and supervisors in various areas of recruitment and hiring, pro-actively reviewing and implementing new procedures and strategies to increase efficiency and respond to regulatory changes in Dining Services. Assists with conflict resolution situations. Ensure compliance with all related campus and department policies, procedures, and practices.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and two years of human resources experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Excellent interpersonal and communication, including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
