The Program Development Specialist works closely with the Research Coordinator for STEM Programs, the Associate Dean of Continuing Education and the Senior Program Director of Middle College and Saturday Programs. This incumbent will work on Market Research, Program Development, Course Design, Equipment Procurement and testing and technical support issues for Continuing Education, Youth Programs and other STEM initiatives at Petrocelli College. This position will report to both the Associate Dean of Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies and Petrocelli's Researcher Coordinator for STEM Programs.
1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Natural Sciences or a related field. Two to five years' experience in STEM is preferred.
2.Computer proficiency for word processing, spreadsheet, and data management applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
3.Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
4.Willingness to work on hands-on technical and non-technical projects.
5.Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6.Ability to be a productive team player.
7.Valid driver’s license and accessibility to transportation for travel to other campuses.
8.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
