Research Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The George Mason University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, within the Volgenau School of Engineering, is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant Professor to conduct research in the areas of Applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will perform research in the area of Applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. A primary area of work will be on deploying state of the art machine learning solution for to enhance computer system security.
The successful candidate must have an earned PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or statistics by the start date of the position.
Candidates with strong background in the following areas:
Big data computing;
Computer System Security;
Identify potential challenges of applying existing machine learning methods;
Improve existing data analysis methods or develop novel learning algorithms;
Perform evaluation of learning algorithms and;
It is preferred that applicants have PhD at time of application submission.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
