Apply today!Job Purpose: The Human Resources Data Specialist supervises the Human Capital Management (HCM) data processing function for the University, including entering, processing, maintaining, auditing, and reporting on sensitive HRIS data. Serves as a resource for HR data for all areas. Reports to the Director, HR Informatics. Essential Functions: Audits data entry, monitors daily quality assurance reports, and addresses errors to ensure data integrity and compliance with federal and state laws and adherence to university policy. Acts as the initial escalation point for data corrections and data related issues.Assists with the support of all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to data. Uses functional and technical knowledge to provide guidance and root cause analysis and solutions to end-users. Assists with creating internal training tools and process manuals for staff to maximize effective use of the HCM system. Provided customer service and guidance to HR administrators, coordinators, business office employees and others providing first and second-level data support.Creates standard or ad-hoc reports out of HCM and other HR data systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting guidelines. Participates in the creation of new queries and reports as needed.Serves as the internal contact for 3rd party vendors and HR applications. Performs updates as directed and as necessary, including deletion, addition and modification of records and system access. Supports the implementation and improvement of business processes, workflows and systems. Initiates technology service requests to revise or develop existing or new HCM modules for processing data, reports, or payments. Assists in the maintenance of HR divisional enterprise systems security. Works closely with Computing & Information Technology and Business Technology Solutions to ensure appropriate security levels are applied and de-provisioned. Advises and assists in the application and interpretation of human resources policies, legal and union contract compliance. Assists in the design and implementation of business-focused policies/contracts, processes, and procedures that are in alignment with University strategies and objectives.Facilitates, leads, and participates in large-scale organizational projects and multidisciplinary teams. Responds to subpoenas and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications: Education: Associate's degreeBachelor's degree in human resources, business or related fields preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Experience: Minimum 3 years At least three years of human resources experience in a large, complex organization. Previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Human Capital Management (HCM) experience. Preferred: Banner experience.
