Responsible for overseeing major sponsored project awards. Serve as the focal point between the sponsoring agency and the Principal Investigator in the fiscal administration of grants and contracts. Review Proposal budgets, keeping abreast with a variety of constantly changing federal regulations. Monitor fiscal performance on awards, prepare final financial reports of expenditure, and initiate grant closeout process. Assist and instruct Principal Investigators and their staff in grant management procedures, billing and collecting and resolving over expenditure problems. Perform a variety of analytical and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles, sponsor requirements, federal and state guidelines and University policies. Directly responsible for monitoring, reviewing and reporting on federal and nonfederal awards as well as timely and accurate award set-up and award close out. Responsible for the authorization of invoices, travel expense reports, requisitions, cost transfers, and payroll forms relating to assigned awards.
B.A./B.S. or equivalent and one to three years of related experience, with strong analytical and budget skills.
