Exchange and Direct Enrollment Study Abroad Program Administrator:
George Mason University, Global Education Office is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to grow study abroad participation in bilateral and direct enrollment study abroad programming. The Exchange and Direct Enrollment Programs Administrator is responsible for the full administration of these programs.
Responsibilities: Administration includes recruiting participants, managing student application to programs, and communication with students, faculty, departments and administrative units on campus as well as liaising with educational institutions abroad, and international organizations, and maintaining contact with appropriate administrative units on campus and abroad and establishing new ones as necessary.
Additional general Administrator duties include advising students; promoting and marketing international programs and creating, maintaining and publishing program material. Maintaining relationships with faculty and academic units. Raising the profile of study abroad on and off campus, as well as giving procedural guidance/training to university constituents on study abroad practices.
Other duties include providing feedback in programmatic strategy in particular regarding the academic content and location of programs.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with a fast paced, deadline, and results oriented environment.
Knowledge of international study abroad program administration;
Administrative experience in an institute of higher education;
Knowledge of different educational systems throughout the world;
Student advising experience;
Marketing and Recruiting experience;
Ability to work with people of different cultures; and Microsoft Office Suite
BA, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated years of administrative experience
MA in International Studies, Education, or Foreign Language, or related field as well as familiarity with Terra Dotta Software
Background in experiential education and/or field studies, preferred.
