Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Post Doc Fellow for the Department of Immunology/Immunotherapy at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research in the area of cell metabolism and its role in immune regulation. The position provides opportunities to study within multidisciplinary groups and to be involved in clinical/translational research collaborations. Postdoctoral scientists are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important, fundamental questions of cancer biology. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Conducts research experiments to understand dynamics of tumor evolution and markers of selection in cancer.
Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
Gives oral presentations of the research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant science with a focus on immunology and immune regulation.
Candidates who have completed all requirements except dissertation (ABD) will be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Background in tumor immunology.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
PHYSICALDEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25lbs. .
