The Director of Graduate Business Programs will develop and guide the overall graduate recruitment strategy for the Argyros School of Business and Economics to ensure that recruitment targets are met. They will oversee and work closely with the Assistant Directors of Recruitment to develop and execute innovative recruiting strategies and marketing efforts. They will serve as a liaison between administration and faculty to ensure the success of Graduate Programs. Additionally, they will proactively seek out prospective graduate business candidates and represent the program at Argyros School events, recruitment fairs and recruiting events and be responsible for meeting department annual recruitment targets. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales, recruiting and team leadership, preferably in the professional recruitment or higher education sectors. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 4 to 5 years of specialized and relationship-based sales and/or recruiting experience with proven track record of achieving goals.
Ability to supervise and manage recruitment team in a professional and collaborative manner.
Experience working with digital recruitment and marketing strategies.
Experience developing, implementing comprehensive social media systems.
Able to develop, plan and achieve short and long-range goals.
Able to learn, interpret and apply guidelines and university and department procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate data, assess alternatives and make appropriate decisions/recommendations.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to work with a diverse group of individuals across the campus and internally.
Strong communication skills, including oral, written; especially for presentations.
Demonstrates tact and diplomacy, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Strong technical skills and ability to learn and use enterprise systems and department tools.
Strong organizational, event management, and project-management skills.
Comfortable directing others and building a collaborative team-oriented environment.
Experienced working in a professional environment with strong Microsoft Office skills/comfort.
Experience with higher education or professional recruitment; preferably for MBA programs.
Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
Working knowledge of Chapman University graduate programs.
