The Department of Neurological Surgery at Indiana University is seeking a faculty position for a spinal fellowship trained neurosurgeon with expertise in Adult deformity surgery. Applicant must possess the ability to develop a combined Orthopedic/Neurosurgery Spine Center of Excellence. Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to secure funded research in the area of Spinal Deformity.
The applicant’s primary duties include participation in and expansion of established comprehensive spine care and general neurological surgery. This is a leadership position and duties include program building; direct clinical care; and teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students. Only candidates with established research portfolio in spinal surgery or spinal cord injury and successful track record of securing outside (NIH) funding will be offered the tenure track. The successful applicant will be expected to lead the multidisciplinary comprehensive spine center, engage in academic pursuits and perform clinical or basic research, maintain current funding and secure future funding.
Applicants must be fellowship trained in spinal deformity neurosurgery and be eligible for an Indiana State Medical License.
