Yours included. This Research Computing Specialist will be responsible for:
Providing direct support to faculty, doctors, researchers, and students.
Matching the diverse portfolio of research projects with computational resources, guiding researchers with the use of research software, providing various facets of research desktop support and promoting the use of HPC and cloud resources.
Working directly with members of our research community, the specialist will customize scientific applications and computational workflows.
Contributions to an internal knowledge base, organizing training sessions, and further development of research computing support infrastructure will also be vital.
In order to qualify you must have:
STEM field bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows, OS X, and office productivity software.
Experience with scientific software and management of personal computers.
Previous experience providing end-user support and content management is preferred.
Combination of patience, determination, and persistence to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A positive attitude and ability to develop productive relationships with pediatric researchers.
Passion for new technologies and science.
