The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Assistant Coach to work with the Men/Women? Swim and Diving program. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will report to the Head Coach and will be expected to assist with the management of the Men/Women NCAA intercollegiate swimming and diving program in accordance with institutional, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations. Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in on and off campus recruiting for the program – identifying & evaluating prospective student-athletes
Organize recruiting events & camps
Design and prepare practice plans or individual work as assigned by the head coach
Work in accordance with the Compliance department
Assist in organizing team travel – logistics, meals, paperwork
Assist in alumni relations & events
Create and build social media platforms & interaction
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree AND college/professional coaching or competing experience. Computer skills are a must as is knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
The ideal candidate will have meet management technical experience and will be able to assist the head coach in all aspects of directing the swim and diving program. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of intercollegiate athletics rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences including eligibility, recruiting, and certification. Strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management, and interpersonal skills are also required.
The position requires some evening and weekend hours.
