Serves as the Budget Officer for the Division of Academic Affairs; reports directly to the Vice President for Finance & Business Operations; works closely with the Office of Academic Affairs. Provides primary support to Academic Affairs in all financial matters including budget preparation, budget management, planning and expenditure monitoring, and budget recommendations to assure financial stability and fiscal health. Provides leadership on behalf of and as delegated by the Provost and the Vice President for Finance & Business Operations in areas of academic resource planning, including personnel activities in the Division of Academic Affairs.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Six years of experience in financial management, budget planning and analysis, or related area(s). Demonstrated knowledge of management theory, organizational structure, and budget processes. Experience with financial/budget management systems, financial software, spreadsheet applications, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in higher education administration and finance and knowledge of higher education structure.
